The number of books in our college library exceeds 73,000. The building has been constructed as per UGC specifications. For more than 50 years, our library has been developed with the assistance of UGC, library fees by students and management contributions. We get some books from donations too.

The library is being automated using Easylib software. Installed in 2004, along with barcode printer. Barcoding has been completed for all books and circulation activities, the Accession Register, and statistics take place in this software. Periodical entries were also managed through software.

Newly Web version 6.2a was upgraded in the year 2016 under the UGC/CPE grant.

Users can search for the books in the library’s collection through OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog). The books can be searched by title, author, subject, publisher, etc. and also has Ability to access OPAC from home/mobile.

Users can reserve/renew books online and have the ability to give feedback on library services.

The IN/OUT Management application was installed during the year 2016. It is connected to the library system through biometric scanners that capture the attendance records of the library.

An additional computer entry screen gives them the ability to govern visitors’ entries. Give extensive reports of the visitors, profiles, and visit patterns to the library. Installed air-conditioning facility for Easylib software/server. The library is under CCTV surveillance. Our college is one of the members of the N-List (Inflibnet Center) program, through which we can get free access to e-books, e-journals, e-Shodhganga, Shodhasindu, P.G. Patthashala, the National Digital Library, etc.

The library subscribes to subject-wise magazines & journals and English and Kannada language newspapers.

The library follows the OPEN ACCESS system & Dewey Decimal Books classification system.

 Library services are circulation service (textbooks & general books), book bank service (throughout the year borrowing facility), new arrival display, vacation reading facility, reading room service, and competitive exam. Services offered by the center include book service, information display and notification, reference service, photocopy service, interlibrary loan service, old question paper service, and free access facility.
