PG DEPARTMENTAL PROFILE

The Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Chemistry was inaugurated on 30th August 2013. The core insistence lies on value education, current affairs, certificate courses, student seminars, skill enhancement programs and extension activities. The department provides exposure to the students for their project work-internship at premier institutions/industries and also provides interactive sessions with industrial expertise through student-industry interaction.

Our vision is to set the goal to establish a multidimensional centre for postgraduate chemistry students in research and upgrade the quality of life through long-term value creation via teamwork and industry interaction.

Our mission is to create and achieve academic excellence in teaching, research and public outreach leading to professionals with ethical values and social responsibilities.

Unique Feature:

The department imparts quality chemistry education by providing platform to unveil the hidden personal skills in teaching-learning activities and training to the students. The faculties of the department provide a substantial chemistry background to complement the quality training in various disciplines at the institute.

Strength of the Department:

The Department has well qualified, experienced and strongly committed teaching faculties. The department has three well-equipped laboratories and each lab provides good hands on experience to students in all the areas of their curriculum and to facilitate research activities.
