Code of Conduct (Students)

General Guidelines

To ensure a safe, respectful, and disciplined campus environment, all the students are expected to follow the General Guidelines below:

A.1

Maintaining Dignity and Decorum

  • Students are expected to maintain discipline and decency in behaviour, dress, and communication at all times.
  • Students need to wear the college uniform daily. 
  • Any form of disrespect, misconduct, or use of abusive language towards peers, faculty, or staff will not be tolerated.
  • Students must avoid loitering in corridors, stairways, or other restricted areas during class hours.
  • Use of tobacco, alcohol, or any intoxicant is strictly banned in and around the campus.

A.2

Respect for College Property

  • Treat all college property including furniture, classrooms, equipment, and facilities with care.
  • Defacing walls, desks, or notice boards, or any form of vandalism will lead to strict penalties and recovery of damage costs.
  • Maintain cleanliness in classrooms, restrooms, and public spaces. Use dustbins provided for waste disposal.
  • Misuse of laboratory or library resources will result in disciplinary action/penalty.

A.3

Personal Conduct and Self-Discipline

  • Students are expected to present themselves in a neat and presentable manner in the college uniform, appropriate to a learning environment.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance are mandatory. Students must adhere to college timings.
  • ID cards must be worn visibly at all times within the college premises.

A.4

Vehicle Parking Regulations

  • If students bring two-wheeler vehicles or four-wheeler vehicles, they must submit an application in the prescribed format along with a photocopy of the vehicle registration documents and their driving license to the office and obtain permission from the principal.
  • Park only in the designated student parking zones. Parking in staff, faculty, or unauthorized areas is strictly prohibited.
  • Display the parking sticker/pass prominently on your vehicle.
  • The college is not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles parked on campus.

A.5

Prohibition of Mobile Phone Usage

  • The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited during class hours, in classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and examination halls.
  • Phones must be kept in silent or switched-off mode within academic and administrative buildings.
  • Unauthorized recording (audio/video) or photography within the college premises is strictly forbidden and will be treated as a disciplinary offense.
  • Violations may result in confiscation of the device and/or disciplinary action.

Note: These rules are designed to foster a responsible, respectful, and academically focused student community. All students are required to comply with them throughout their tenure at the institution.

Daily Corner: (Academic Conduct & Campus Behaviour)

To maintain a respectful, focused, and spiritually enriched academic environment, students are expected to follow these guidelines:

B.1

Prayer and Morning Assembly

  • All students must attend the daily Morning Prayer without fail. 
  • Students are expected to be punctual, respectful, and attentive during the prayer session which starts at 8.55 AM.
  • Maintain silence and decorum before, during, and after the prayer.

B.2

Attendance Requirements

  • A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory in each subject to be eligible for semester examinations.
  • Students must attend all scheduled classes, practicals, and extra classes regularly.
  • Absence due to illness must be supported by a medical certificate submitted to the class advisor or department.
  • Students with poor attendance may face academic penalties or denial of exam eligibility.

Free Hour Conduct

  • During free periods, students must remain in the library, reading room, or designated common areas.
  • Loitering in corridors, staircases, or outside classrooms is strictly prohibited.
  • Students should use free hours productively for academic reading, group discussions, or personal study.
  • Noise and disturbance during free hours will lead to disciplinary action.

Classroom Etiquette

  • Arrive on time for all classes. Late entry will not be allowed without valid reason.
  • Maintain silence and attentiveness in the classroom.
  • Respect teachers and fellow classmates; raise hands to ask questions or participate.
  • Use of mobile phones or electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited during class.
  • Sit only in the assigned classrooms as per the time-table and avoid creating any commotion.

B.5

Notes and Academic Work

  • Students are responsible for maintaining neat, up-to-date notes for all subjects.
  • Complete and submit assignments, records, and projects by the given deadlines.
  • Seek help from faculty members during office hours if clarification is needed.
  • Plagiarism, copying assignments, or academic dishonesty will result in strict academic action.

B.6

General Responsibilities

  • Wear your ID card at all times within campus.
  • Dress appropriately and maintain personal hygiene and self-respect.
  • Treat all staff and peers with courtesy and cooperation.
